How pickup works in East Cambridge
Most of our items are pickup-only, from our building in East Cambridge, Cambridge, MA — about a 10-minute walk from Lechmere station (Green Line) and 20 minutes from Kendall (Red Line). Here is exactly how a pickup goes.
Any time, via the concierge
Our building's lobby has a concierge around the clock. Once we agree a pickup, we leave the item with the concierge and you collect it from them — evenings, weekends, even late at night. No one needs to be home, and you don't need to time your trip to our schedule.
See it first, then pay
You see the item before any money changes hands. If it's what you expected, you pay on the spot — Zelle, Venmo, or cash — and take it away. If it isn't, you simply leave it; nothing is owed. There is no online checkout and we never ask for payment in advance.
Holds
Once we agree a pickup time, the item is held for you until 2 hours after that time. After that, it is offered to the next person on the waitlist — so if you're running late, a quick message keeps your place.
Bigger items
The building has an elevator and parking. For something heavy like a bed frame (about 100 lb), buyers often book a same-day mover such as Lugg or Dolly at their own cost to collect it, and we're happy to coordinate the pickup time with them.
